Anyone know how to reset the Headunit. (Completely Folded Over) Possible Lemon Law?

Yeah so after taking my pos kenwood head unit into mazda 5 times now. I was wondering if this would qualify for lemon law but I doubt it, does anyone know?

Anyways onto the problem. Ever since Ive had the car the mofo does the halfway fold thing. But now after getting a "new" deck or so mazda said the b**** folded completely over so I obviously cant access the reset button.

Does anyone know how to rest the unit otherwise? Ive tried flipping the fuse out and back in but to no avail and it isnt blown. Any help on either of my questions would be appreciated.

mine did that once, so i turned the car off, counted to 10, then restarted it. then i began tapping on the face plate and it eventually flipped back over. i'm sure you tried that already, next step is to save up and get the upgraded model, i believe its the kenwood 879mp3.. it also plays dvds and it cost $450.00 but well worth it and warranty is much better. or you can even send it to kenwood directly and bypass the dealership, they should fix it or replace it..

Not sure if you have done this, but if you press and hold the eject button for 2-3 sec. it sets the eject/angle switch to do the halfway-flip out trick. Of course, the head unit stays that way until you do the same thing to get it back to the flat configuration. Also, if the deck folds completely over and stays there, you can press in the top lefthand corner to get it to flip back over. If the above two don't work, try resetting the deck by disconnecting your battery for 1 min or so. Then reconnect and turn on the ignition. This should reset your deck. However, it will require you to enter the security code if you have set one previously. Do this with the am/fm buttons to select the number position and the ff and rw buttons to select the number value.

Hope this helps. If this is all redundant to you then forget that I mentioned anything. It was all a figment of your imagination.

no, Lemon law has to be a problem related to the safety of the vehicle i.e. brakes, seats, seatsbelts, windscreen, door latches, and maybe if you can prove the unreliability of the drivetrain...

Rainman,

Get a refurb unit from mazda (i'm on my 2nd radio), sell the b**** and get a real head unit.
