Ky/So. IN Mazda Enthusiasts-

I was curious if anyone is interested in possibly splitting the cost of renting a fender roller from www.rollyourfender.com and having a little fender-rolling part-ay! I am thinking about a bigger wheel/tire combo, but I want to roll the fenders first and figured some of you may want to as well. I have never done this before so if there is someone out there who has done this who might be willing to come and help, I think that might be good too. I don't really have a time or place in mind right now, but that's why I was putting this out here for all of you.

I was thinking something like what these guys did: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123671125&highlight=fender+rolling. Post and let me know if you are interested in rolling/providing guidance or a location (near Louisville), etc.

A new KY person! (band) Welcome!!

I don't need any fenders rolled, love my stockers.

Do you ever go out to Shelbyville? I saw a laser blue P5 with temporary tags awhile back.

How many miles do you have on it? If you ever need any technical help let me know. I work in Louisville.

Thanks for the welcome!

I don't often get out to Shelbyville, I live just inside JTown and work in Louisville. I appreciate the offer of help...I am sure at some point I will take you up on that. I was curious if you knew of a good mechanic and/or performance parts store in this area...I don't really feel like going to the stealership if I can avoid it.

My P5 has 60K and I am just beginning to mod it...I actually installed an MSP radio pocket today and I have a Simota CAI and a Kartboy SS and bushings on the way. Good to talk to you- let me know if you ever need an extra hand on your P5...

All of my performance parts are bought online. Factory parts are bought at the dealership after I look them up at rockauto.com. If I don't have the time or patience I either take my car to Lees Tire (they do it all, engine rebuilds, custom exhaust, etc.) in Shelbyville, 502-633-4172, it is across from Walmart at exit 32 off of 64. If I am in town or on my way to work I take it to Johns Auto, 502-964-5224. He is a family friend and very reasonable on prices. All alignments and suspension work is done at Winning Formula, 502-499-7459, on the corner of Six Mile and Bardstown Rd.

The only time that mine has been in the shop is when a Navigator rearended me in March. The places that I mentioned are where I take my Camry.

You have 60K miles which means that your cat and ignition coils haven't been replaced yet. When that happens let me know.

Mine is the silver one.

The cat in the front at the manifold. The one at the mid pipe is bullet proof for the most part. The ceramic in mine failed but I swithced to a Tsudo header instead of replacing the over-priced and restrictive cat.

You should have come out to the meet Saturday. It was a pretty good time.

Yeah, I wanted to, but I work 3rd shift and I am going to school, so daytime is normally taken up with class or sleeping. I am definitely going to try and catch the next one...

And I'm working on getting a header, but I want to do motor mounts first to avoid messing up my header...are you happy with the Tsudo? I am considering either that or the much more expensive thunder...here's my P5 (unwashed I know!)

I just got back from getting my new 215 40s mounted on my stockers, and this place is for real. The service was great and so was the price. (thumb)X2 for Winning Formula!

Good to hear. After my first visit I made them my only option for suspensions.

Check out this section. We are having a meet Dec 1st.

Hey DieHonda, is that Tsudo header working allright for you? I've got a line on a cheap one, but I wanted to check and confirm it's not a piece of crap before I finalize the sale...

It works really well, the craftsmanship is good and all I had to do was run a spark plug non fouler for the CEL.

You should have come to the meet today and seen it.

If you want to see it sometime hit me up. It was a very simple install.

I would but don't trust myself to NOT cracking the paint.

Same with me, (which is why I was looking for someone with experience!) plus I no longer have the money for a rims upgrade or springs upgrade that might necessitate this, so it's def on hold for now...whereabouts in Louisville are you?

I am from st. matthews area. I plan to upgrade susp. lowering and shocks, adj camber ball joints sometime next year. When I do adj wheel size to 235+, I probably will go to St. Matthews auto collision. Haven't asked yet the pricing from them, but I'll be checking later this month just to get idea.

i wanted to revive this Thread, im starting to get tired of my rear-end rubbing when i have peeps ride in the back. Anyone still interested in doing this. Its like $50 to rent plus a $250 deposit (refunded upon return of tools). Im so annoyed at this point im considering trade (maybe a Speed3).

Ah, it's the old domino effect. You change one thing, which leads to the need for another change, which can lead to another change, .......

Thankfully, the guy who set up my Hybrid-7 did it right. The tires do not rub against anything. The ride is firm; but, it's not intolerable. The handling is just right, nimble and positive.

^^^^ ummm, that doesnt help me.
I found that fender rollin can be done with a Wood baseball bat, so im gonna try. Dont even care too much about the risks, just aggravated. This doesnt work, im lookin for an Evo, or...............wheels, depends how pissed i am after more rubbing!(glare)

Evo vs wheels. LOLOLOL

Do the baseball bat trick. Just go slow so the paint doesn't crack. A guy on 502 has a roller though.
