Anyone in Austin ever worked on MSPs????

Vibrant hose pit pack here... ARP exhaust manifold only studs here... Forge wastegate actuator here... I am getting a tad bit concerned about the Minerva engine mounts, I ordered and paid for them almost a month ago and now my emails have not been replied to asking for a tracking number, I hope for two things... one that they are ok and two that I will actually get what I paid for because they look AWESOME!!!!

next step is to meet up with Ryan and get a gameplan together for installation time... and of course list of small items still needed to complete the plan!!!

I got my car together without any problems, and learned how to replace the cam seals as well so if you want to do those we can. I also got the timing right on the first try so I had a refresher course and remember exactly what to do.

Sweet, I will probably go ahead and order the cam seals shortly... I just blew out my clutch tonight after work so dealing with that tomorrow... this car is killing me!!! I still love her though...

Anyone in Austin still have their stock engine & trans mounts in the garage??? Have a need for an old set of mounts for temp project... ASAP

Car is back from the emergency repairs... still waiting on refund or mounts from Minerva... have the tensioner spring now OEM... I guess I still need the cam seals, exhaust manifold gasket, and who knows what else... buttttt at least I'm getting closer... I kind of need to wait for the $$$ back from the Minerva mounts so I can buy replacements, although I wish the Minervas had worked out...

You may want a new VC gasket if you haven't replaced it recently. Otherwise I'm still ready as ever. For the mounts I suppose you have to splurge for the AWR, street unit mounts are cheaper and may work fine but AWR have a perfect track record as far as I know, never heard of one failing.

Yeah the mounts are killing me since I had to do the clutch / LSD unexpectedly... I actually just got the car back Monday after being gone at the shop for almost two weeks (plus I was out of town last week...)

I am going to go ahead and get the cam seals we talked about... the exhaust manifold gasket (easy to find I'm sure)...

I think that is it for the maintenance items besides just pulling the trigger on some mounts... I should have the Minerva refund to my card in a couple of days... The VC was changed the last time I changed the plugs so not too long ago... and it is easy enough that if I think it needs done again I can do that with my tools in about an hour so all good there... I would get another one if they weren't $30 for a piece of rubber... Remind me of when works best for you on some of this stuff?? I work Monday through Friday in north Austin and of course live 9 miles from Salt Lick in Buda... I can likely request time off from work for a day or two if needed to help... I can also be out of the way if that works better... sometimes I get more nervous being involved than it is worth... but darn it I TRY!!! lol

I work nights at a restaurant usually wed-sun. I live right off 1826 near where 45/mopac intersects it. It shouldn't take but a few hours to do the timing belt. Motor months will take more but I've done all of this before, twice actually. It's not a big deal for me to take a Sunday off work either, I just need a couple weeks heads up.

update... on a 23455463434543 month saga... I ordered the regular AWR mount kit with the inserts for now... I THINK all that is left to get is the exhaust manifold gasket and the cam seals... I really hope I haven't forgotten anything... :(

ok... I think everything is here... MOUNTS included!!! Holidays are over and done with... so on to the scheduling part!!!! before I do something stupid and try to buy a Magnum SRT8!!!!

In some recent research I have discovered that the transmissions in the Magnum SRT8 cars are Mercedes sourced... soooooo since Dodge transmissions were one of the things that has scared me away from the SRT8 cars the most they are now being considered... howeverrrrrr no matter what I will probably still keep the MSP... she was my first brand new car EVER after 33-34 used ones...

Ryan... you have a PM... :)
