Anyone Have Pics Of How They Wired Up Their Gauges

No i havent done it yet.. but i will be doing it after christmas, tell me how it goes if u do it b4 me plz.. just PM me ive never wired anything b4 so this shuld be great :) haha

Hahaha Ive had some experience and a really mechanically and experienced friend of mine on the side to guide me.. Its not fun ill tell you that.. after all this wiring and tight spaces cause mazda is so difficult.. this is what i have to say to wiring(lick)(fu)... Hahaha

but i'll let you know how it goes....(homework)

Look at the ECU document here. It shows all the connectors on the ECU (that's what's in your picture). If you tap into the wideband, your gauge won't work, and your car won't either because you will screw up the ECUs ability to sense the A/F ratio. You must tap into the narrow band sensor, but don't expect a lot because that sensor is after the CAT, and narrow band is pretty useless anyway.

Well after at least 8 hours of figuring this all out and doing it very clean, All the gauges start up in white and the opening ceremony takes place in ALL 3 gauges.. When I turn on my parking lights or my lights the gauges then switch to amber.. which I wanted.....

I then spliced into the ECU wire i showed you and the A/F gauge is working... My Oil Pressure gauge is working and im running the sensor it came with along with the stock sensor. Im not sure if its grounded well enough but i will soon find out. ALSO my boost gauge does not move at all after the opening ceremony.. Its wired up properly and I used the one and only useable vaccum line everyone used.. i even tried removing that little air filter they gsve me with a better line..STILL DOESNT WORK!

I am also throwing a CEL.. For what? I do not know "I wish i had a DASHHAWK." I'm SOOO PISSSED

What's the CEL code? Get it scanned out and maybe we can help figure out what's causing it.

Thats why I want the DASHHAWK.. Im gonna call up a local tuning garage and see if I can get the code red. If not im just gonna need to go over all my work. I disconnected the Air Ful from that wire i tapped into the ECU that you told me couldnt be tapped and reset the battery and then ran the car..

The CEL still cmes up so im really thinking its my Oil pressure. Can I jut run the sensor they gave me or do I need to run both the stock sensor and the prosport one? And as far as the boos gauge im gonna call Prosport and hear what they have to say.(help)

Okay so I just ran the CEL through an ODB II diagnostic machine. My codes are P2004 and P2009. Its telling me what my Intake manifold circut is low and the intake manifold runner is stuck open. Hmmmmm(nailbyt)

P2004 Variable tumble control system (VTCS) shutter valve stuck open ON 2 CCM (See DTC P2004)

P2009 Variable tumble control solenoid valve circuit low input ON 2 CCM (See DTC P2009)

There is a flapper inside the intake manifold that has a solenoid to move it under ECU control. The CEL is complaining that the wire is disconnected to the solenoid and can't move the flap. Check for connectors that have come undone, or maybe a wire that is broken. I don't think your gauge connections could cause this, probably something got dislodged while you were doing the install.

Would you happen to know where these wires would be or connectors?(bang)

The valve is bolted to a bracket on top of the intake manifold. It is a little block with two hoses and a connector with two wires. The wires go to the ECU - check a black/red wire on pin 2AS.

Thanks I'm gonna take a look and see what I can find hopefully im not that much of an idiot.. Would that be under the top mount? I WOULD LOVE A PICTURE IF ANYONE COULD GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO TAKE ONE.. :(

If I brought it into a mazda dealership right now would they void warranty.. Just a question. AND also how harmful is it to drive my car with this CEL on? this is My daily driver

Ive been asking about this and this is where someone told me to tap..

I looked at the same that was UHATEIT that took that off another forum. Have you tried it yet?

that would be me. I used that one and it worked from the first time. Thats for those basic a/f guages the narrowband ones but the wideband ones you do have to drill out a bung for it. or if you have a testpipe that has the bung built in (i have the protegegarage tp and it has one) then you just have to get the sensor for it.

I didnt run mine to wideband, i just tapped that wire for narrowband on the ecu harness next to the battery and it worked like a charm :)

Yes It did.. The A/F is working JUST FINE.. Thanks UHATEIT. (bow)

And for all that are wondering.. Thank you to Rotus my CEL is now off.. Just a simple connecter on the yop of the intake manifold was dissconnected. I ran my car today at Moroso with an exotic car club.. 450 entrance fee for all day on the new course.. really fun course. OUR speed3 (which would be me) put up better times then 335I's and Carrera's S's today boys
