My girlfriend is a teacher and got re-hired for the next school year. It is a special occasion because it is the first time she will be at single district for more than two years.

With her first and second teaching jobs, she was laid off at the end of her second year. She's a music teacher, so she's always the first to go if the budget is cut. She finally broke her 'two-year curse', and I wanted to congratulate her by sending a bouquet of flowers to her at school.
