Anyone have a fender roller?

I'm in the northeast Ohio area.. in Rocky River which is just a suburb of Cleveland. I'm in a semi-desperate need of a slight fender roll. I slapped on some RX-8 wheels with 235/40 star specs and I'm rubbin' some when I hit bigger bumps and for those who live around here, those are sort of hard to avoid sometimes. It's peeling strands off the outside of my brand new tires and I just need like a 10% roll so I don't want to buy a roller tool just for that.. So if anyone that could help me out, that would be GREAT! :)

you can rent one from street unit ....$50 rental, but they put a $300 hold on a credit card until they get it back

In the description it says..

The billing credit card will be authorized for $300.00, upon rental return and inspection, the authorization is cancelled and the $49 plus shipping will only remain.

So I'm wondering what the plus shipping implies, both there and back or what.. So I just emailed them to find out. If it's free shipping both ways I'll most likely do this since it's a pretty good deal.

my fiance was the one that got the fender roller, so i'm not completely sure....it was also a while ago when we did it....

good luck!!!

he doesn't really remember...i posted what he told me when i asked him...he said they gave him a return shipping label, but who knows if that is true :)

Too bad you weren't around here like 2 months ago. I had one for a while.

Oh... and just a reminder that mentioning SU on here is bad mmkay. They're banned from the site.

why are they banned? i don't read any other parts to this site besides the ohio section

Long story, years ago. Shady customer service, shady business practices, as well as a few other things.

yeah...i'm googling up some stories, but nothing really substantial yet....i don't know if my fiance ever had problems with them, though, but i wouldn't be surprised since we have issues with EVERY company that we deal with...seriously, i could write a book about all the terrible things that has happened with ordering parts, etc for our mazda....we often think of selling the thing because it must be cursed

I've ordered from SU twice now and it has always been excellent Customer Service and fast shipping times. Maybe they've improved over the years.

I'm sure, but they're still banned on here, so we really can't talk about them on here.

i think it's stupid to be afraid of talking about a company on here...it's not like we are the company itself, posting stuff...don't worry about it! in my google searches, there are still threads talking about su

but i did notice that it wouldn't let me post their website...guess that's 'cause they are banned...oh well

I know, but I'm just upholding my moderator duties.

Thou shalt not talk about banned vendors, especially if referencing someone to renting a tool from them. Sorry. Just doing my job.

all i remember was the 626 manifold issue.

junkyard 626 manifolds sold as like 700 dollar intake manifolds for proteges...

If you make it to the columbus area I have a east wood fender roller.

Hey I'm also looking for a Fender roller, or possibly someone that knows the "Rawlings" method really well. I got a MS3 and put RX-8 wheels on too 225/45...damn Ohio roads!! Full car + big bump = Fu@#^$##$%#$%#!!! Not only did I rub, but when the suspension compressed, the wheel traveled past the fender and pulled it out when it retracted. Then I hit another bump and the metal sticking out sliced the edge of my tire a tiny bit. I put my stock wheels back on asap after that.

So if anyone can help I appreciate it!
