i have not run into the same problems you all are describing here, but i do have a nasty problem with my alarm. every time it goes of, instead of having the normal sounding beep tone, it goes schizo and beeps randomly, different lengths of beeps, real fast sometimes, slow others, etc. ITS WEIRD. i need to take it to the dealer again....just a little fyi for everyone.....
hahaha!
dude, they all do that :D

that's so u know it's YOUR car and not your neighbor's

Take a quick look through the alarm manual (it's probably in that black case in your glove box). It will tell you what the beeps are for.

He is talking about when the alarm actually goes off, not the beeps from activating the alarm or the ones that tell you it went off when you deactivate it.

yeah its pretty stupid, its not a matter of how many times it beeps, etc. its the pattern in which it beeps. but ur right steele, the alarm is gay, peece of sheet!!!

The dealer replaced my alarm last week. The new one is FP #0000-8F-C10. Problem solved.
My dealer did a great job servicing the car, not hassling me about replacing the alarm or the bushings, and didn't screw anything else up. They even had all the right parts in stock!
