Comments: The big news for 2000 was the return of the Type R. The Type R had become a little more mature (some would say fat) during its vacation and now had standard air conditioning. It was available only in black or yellow. This would be the highest sales year for Type Rs, with 1,250 sold.

in the us, they made ones in 97, 98, 00, and 01. 97 is the rarest year, and 01 is the year with the most models.

97 and 98 were all championship white.

00, and 01 were Black, and yellow.
