Anyone else TIRED of ****** *DIBS*!?!

I just wanna know if anyone else is tired of seeing *DIBS* in the For Sale section....Half of the time someone calls dibs and it takes them FOR EVER to pay for it or not at all....I am just tired of missing good deals because someone has *DIBS* and I have Money in my ****** hand for the part.....

Thats my point...I told you shipping was too much and I am prob 8 hrs from Buffalo....It would cost me more to bring them to you than I would get for them!

its up to the seller to decide wether he will take peoples dibs or someone who has the cash then and there.

Unfortunately, it's really up to the seller how he deals with it. He can sell it to whoever he wants under whatever circumstances he choses. All we can do is try to fight for our piece of the pie.

There should be a limit on dibs, like 24 hours.

Really, though, the whole dibs thing should be left up to the seller. If he's ok with someone calling dibs, then so be it. It's then on him if the "dib-caller" backs out. It's just how lucky your are (or aren't). If you arent' getting stuff cause someone beats you to it, then come check the FS section more often. If you really, really want something, you'll take the time to wait for it. If you're gonna say "I don't have time to sit around my PC and check every 30 minutes" then you must not want whatever you're looking for bad enough.

yeah, you said it would be to much to ship...never got back to me on the half way meet though....and yeah, that is way too far, although I'd still probably save money if it were to have happened; rubber is WAY expensive here!...as for the 'dibs' thing, although its annoying, I think that it is the perogative of the seller. I for one prefer cash to promisary notes.

I think If I have the cash in pocket and An Item is FS...Then its FS...Just because some stays on this damn site 24/7 and calls dibs on all the good deals witout having funds lined up is BS.If you call *DIBS*...OK....Totally OK...As long as you have the $$$ CASH IN HAND and are ready to make a purchase....Not wait a week with it on dibs and keep saying "it'll be just a little longer,I get paid next Friday"...Screw that...I got money now and it went FS Now...I don't call dibs on something I don't have the money for ....s*** or get off the pot.

I'm not trying to buy anything...I was just looking through some posts that were pretty old...Like more than a week,and people that had called *DIBS* had not paid up...The item was still on Dibs.I mean ,Yeah..there were a few things That I saw thatr I would like to have but Jesus...There on DIBS...Doesn't matter that I can pay you money in a matter of five minutes...

And sorry we cant work it out on the tires...It might save you money but it would cost me....Hows that supposed to work?

Dude not at all...you guys are missing the point...A lot of dib calling goes on but not a lot of orginal *DIBBERS* so to say, end up with items that they called on....WHY you ask...because in reality...they really wanted the item....Had ALL the intention of PURCHASING the item...but in the end....Really did not have the money that they THOUGHT they could SPARE or come up with.
I just think that its BS...I remember back in the day a "FRIEND",and byt that I mean someone you hung out with....not talked on the computer with MIGHT hold something he was selling for you but a stranger wouldn't...
I just don't get what is happening here.

I think money talks and bulls*** walks is the way to do business. I know ForceFed knows I'm a money talks type of guy. So if I want something and I can afford it then I usually will buy it. Things are just crazy right now with the wife being pregnant and all. She's cracking the so called - WHIP - on what I can and cannot buy. haha! It's ok, I still have some dignity left.
