Anyone crack open stock P5 tails???

I have an idea brewing but I'm not gonna bother persuing it if it is either not possible or a total b**** to crack them open.

And no this does not involve painting them body color either.

Oven. Preheat it at 250, bake anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes depending on how hot you want the gkue to get.

Is 250 a safe temperature... i really want to black out my headlight housing but im afraid to put them in the oven.... im afraid it will melt or bend the plastic... does anyone know the melting point so im sure that i wont bend or melt my headlights?

If you're uncomfortable doing the oven trick, you could use a blowdryer or heatgun.

As for the tails, I HEARD that they weren't designed to take high temps like the headlights. Heating them up might shrink the seal so when you put them back in, there will be a slight gap. I haven't tried it yet though, although I was thinking about it.

I read somewhere on here they wont do so good in the oven. Someone mentioned they will melt?
