anyone aware that honda accord = acura TL in australia?

i was in australia a few weeks ago and noticed that their honda accords come in the acura TL body style, i don't think they sell acura there, only honda.

so ppl getting the honda accord here are getting ripped, cause they get the crappier body style (accord) and not the new TL body style. but i guess americans don't care cause they LOVE hondas anyways.....

yep yep, acura doesn't exist outside the states as far as I know so it would make sense that honda use their better model for the accord

Yup just like the Acura TSX here in the US is the Accord over in Europe.

JAPAN is suppost to get the acura and lexus line soon, they tryin to fight off the european luxary lines entering japan. if the tl came in rwd platform i would pick it over a g35 i think....the styleing is just so agressive!

its not exactly getting "ripped off". thier accord(TL) prices are higher than a regular accord (in the US) as is the TL in the US.

Yeah I wouldn't call the the rebadging for different markets a RIP OFF.


The fact that GM has been building bad sh*tbox piles of s*** that look like they were designed by Homer Simpson over here(for reference see Malibu, Impala, Cobalt, the joke that is the "SS" line, ETC) while Holden continues to turn out beautiful works of art in Austrailia, that is a ripoff.

And the GTO doesn't count either, sit in one and you will understand why.
It's the big body equivalant of an SRT4, great engine, bad car.
