Anybody test drive the 2010 Mazda3i model?

It seems like everybody is jumping for the 5-door, but what about the 3i model? It's been improved in the same way as the s model right? Should we expect similar performance in comparison to the 2009 i model?

I drove the 2010 Mazda 3s sedan model, but not the i.

I coudln't test out the power because it was not broken in yet and I couldn't go past 3000rpm.

But the handling was very good and the interior was awesome with the blue and red lights in all the right places.
It was very easy. the clutch is not sensitive at all.

But the new "i" model is still slower than the 2009 "s" model because the new Mazda 3 is larger and heavier. The new 2010 "s" model has the same acceleration and handling as the 04-09 Mazda 3s from what I can tell.

I drove the 2.0 with an automatic and it was slow as balls and couldnt get out of its own way (coming from a MS3). It handled nicely and the quality was good just a bit slow. I also drove the 2.5L with a 6spd and that thing was pretty quick, it was fully loaded and had the dash computer and everything which put the price higher than my MS3 but both were really nice cars and if you can get over the front grill either would be fine. They both get practically the same gas mileage so if you can swing the extra cash id opt for the 2.5L

About the same to 60, after 60 the new 2.5L cars begin to open up a difference and by 110mph the difference is substantial.

I just got a S. Dealer told me the sedan was way more popular for a comuter car....they had 10 I to every S. IF you look at Corksports thread on here, he dyno'd a new 2.5 and it made 154 RWHP. If you figure average 12% loss through tranny, the new 2.5 makes more HP than the 167 stated. May not explain all the 2010's, but if you find motorweeks test of the car, I think 0-60 dropped over half a second on the new S.
