Anybody raced their MSP yet?

Greetings yall... anybody taken their MSP out to a serious track event yet? What kind of problems are you encountering? Any warnings or advice? I'm thinking about heading up to Summit Point in a couple of weeks... just not wanting to burn out my turbo or blow my engine because of some oil issue or some other unforseen event!

Search for Buttomwillow track day. SpicyMSP has video of her at the track. I took mine out to PIR, and plan to do some S. Cali track events next summer.

i was out at qualcomm last friday with a buddy of mine who has a toyota celica gt-s w/ action package (so bootyful), and i saw two MSP's out there. I decided to ask them both if they wanted to race and of course they did. Let me tell you that you don't want to mess with a celica's lift (vvtl-i)! That s*** will eat you on 3rd-4th.. Well the yellow MSP was running 10.5 -- 1/8th and the celica was running 10.1! The yellow MSP lost by 3 car lengths... n00bie driver! Never got a chance to race the orange MSP because he kept complaining about how bad the car was. you know the wastegate, plastic internal, boost spiking, etc. etc. i pretty much knew who would've won, but the orange won whooped a lot of other cars so there's hope!

I think he's talking about track days, not drag racing.

I was talking about track days, but thanks for the input JohnJay5... I don't think my stock MSP would do too well at a drag event (especially with me driving... the whole reaction time thing is an issue...)! Now, throw some turns in there and I might do a little better... ;-)

122Vega: Did you have any probs with the MSP or do you have any suggestions before I go? I don't want to be the guy riding in the tow truck all the way home... ;-P
