I am looking for people who have the Vibrant 3 inch turbo back exhaust. Does it sound ok? Have you had any problems with it? Is it a good quality exhaust?

Extreme quality....the welds are awesome....definetely robotic welds. Its not really loud, but has a low tone to it. Not ricey at all. Some people had trouble with the elbow and using the factory nuts on it since the pipe is bigger than the "S" pipe and it hits the elbow, but everyone has installed them without major problems. You either need to extend the second O2 wiring or disconnect it from all its points to make it reach. Overall a great exhaust system for its price... Others prefer the GHL since it comes with a downpipe and its a true 3" but its also double the price of the Vibrant.

Exactly what he said.

Another question I have is can the corksport S pipe work with this and what are my options for a better S pipe? Would replacing the S pipe make a big difference? I am thinking it would.

those are just some allen bolts.
sometimes you can find them in hardened steel.

I would like to upgrade my S pipe. Is that a good idea? Will I see any improvement? I orderd my vibrant exhaust today. I am thinkiing about getting kartboy hangers. What would my options be for an S pipe that would work with my exhaust?

definetly get the hangers.
corksport s-pipe is the one that will bolt up directly to vibrant's j-pipe.
this is your only option as of now for an aftermarket s-pipe.

or, you can get you stock one ported and polished.

No offense Pirana, but I'm going to give a 35-year-old's opinion on the noise level. IMHO, yes, it's loud. Not loud like my 462 c.i. '79 Trans Am (the Vibrant doesn't set off car alarms a block away), but I think it's loud, even with the silencer. One reason I bought the Vibrant is all the posts about "oh, it's not loud at all... it doesn't drone a bit...". Yeah, right. I recently took a 14 hour round trip in the MSP with my fiancee, and she's all but decided never to take another long trip in it. It does drone. Maybe not like some other exhaust systems, but it's still way louder than stock, and it gets pretty damn old after a few hours of wanting to listen to your tunes less than cranked up, or wanting to have a quality cell conversation on your bluetooth headset, but can't.

Am I bitching? Not really. The quality of the sound is really good, and better than what I heard on the sound clips peeps were kind enough to post. The quality of the product is very good to excellent. The pops and backfires are kinda cool now that I'm used to them.

I still wish it were just a few db quieter. In my neck of the woods, the Trans Am rattling the neighbors windows on startup gets smiles and respect. The MSP gets a lot of looks that say "stupid ricer". I know it's not fair, just the way it is around here. It's not that we're all Nascar-loving rednecks, just that imports still take a back burner to muscle cars and *cough* Harleys...even with the cops.

I just don't want anyone else to buy this exhaust thinking it's some super stealth, fly under the radar, never notice it on trips kind of system, because it's not. Buy it while you can get it because it's a great exhaust, should last a lifetime and makes proven hp, not because it's quiet, lol!!!

no worries, I'am same age...also I guess I am used to my STi and NSX been a lot louder... (glare)

I guess they did on the STi, but I'am guessing it was the wing since I had the factory exhaust when I got stopped twice. :bs:

I've had it for about 6mos now and I love it. To me with the silencer in it sounds just like stock, but I leave mine out unless I'm goin on long trips. Quality can't be beat for price! Cops give me a hard time a lot tho just because I have one of the flashy cars arround town.

Can anyone tell me how loud exactly the Vibrant /w silencer is compare to the stock MSP exhaust?

its alot louder than stock. i dont know how annnyyone can say theirs sounds just like stock. going from 1.75" piping to 3" is def gonna make a difference. it doesnt drone too bad inside unless you have the silencer out. but even with the silencer in it bothered me on a long trip. this was after 10 or so hrs on boring interstate tho so it just got old.

the sound is sooo much better than stock. it has that nice pur to it and just sounds awesome when youre drivin hard
