Any way to adjust the steering assist?

I just got a 2008 CX-9 and it's great, except the steering is very, very loose at highway speeds. The steering overall is much slushier than I remember from the CX-9s I test drove.

Is there anyway that a mechanic could adjust the amount of assist provided by the variable speed steering system?

Thanks.

It's not adjustable, but if it doesn't feel right, take it in and have them go on a test drive with you. You just paid them a bunch of money - now let them earn it!

Check your tire pressure. If it is even just a few psi high in the front, it has a surprising effect on the steering feel, much more than any prior car we've owned. Set the tire pressures to the factory recommended setting (listed on the inside driver's door opening), and see if that helps a bit.
