Could you please check for me to see how much resources they take?
By doing: Ctrl + Alt + Del ; then go to Processes Tab, check for aim.exe or msmsgs.exe, and look at the Mem Usage...

Thanks

I do have XP. However, I'm not asking for either of it, but asking for the AIM and MSN messenger mem usage.

Ya, I'm using trillian right now. Though, I'm considering going back to the original program. Thus, I like to see if the program itself both combine will take up more mem usage than trillian. :(

Yeah, forget those, dude, just get Trillian. But I just use AIM and ICQ with it. Trillian uses 15,788K if you want to compare.

It's the wave of the future!!!

I use trillian right now lah~~~
I just want to compare the Mem Usage of Trillian compare to the Mem Usage of AIM+MSN. IF AIM+MSN uses less Mem Usage than Trillian, I was considering going back to the original program. Reason I'm doing this is because seems like Trillian doesn't have mutilanguage support in contact list! :(

Though, thanks for the replies guys~ love u all~~
Btw, ICQ seems so dead nowadays. Everytime you ask somone for contact, first thing they ask you is "you have AIM? I only use AIM".. :/

Most of my annoying friends from HS use AIM (dumbfriend23: Hey how are you doing, what did you do today, let's chat just because this thing is on), and my sensible friends from college and other countries use ICQ.

To me it's mostly the culture of AIM vs. ICQ users . AIM users that I know feel like they need to keep talking just becasue, ICQ users are more laid back and appreciate the "leave-a-message" feel of it, with no pressure to write back right away without getting "Hello, are you there? Hello? Fine, ignore me!!" from a distressed AIM user.
Another reason why I prefer ICQ is the fact that I can leave messages when a user is offline. I don't want to send an email just to say "hey check out this pic".

Now I just use Trillian and treat all contacts like ICQ members.

Ok, I'll stop my rant now. In case you couldnt tell, I've had some problems with AIM users who start pointless conversation when I'm doing work.

hahah, I feel you man!!! I started using ICQ a long time ago (6 digit ICQ #), and when I get to HS, I was forced to use AIM because all my friends use AIM. I kept telling them "What so good about AIM that ICQ doesn't have?." Now MSN is beginning to take over ICQ just like MSN. Seems to me that now is like AIM VS MSN.

Anyway, anybody here still run AIM and MSN together? :/

Trillian here too. My contact name for Yahoo, AIM is the same as on this site. For MSN, my e-mail is in my signature.
