any test pipe better then the rest?

as the title says im just wondering if any test pipe is better then the rest?

from what ive gathered i have 4 choices:

street units 2.5 or 3 inch - $129
corksport race pipe 80mm - $169
sls test pipe - $89.95
turboxs 3 inch - $139

im leaning toward the 2.5 street unit one since i wont be getting a dp and dont think i need the 3 inch.

any input to steer me in the right direction would be great

I'm running the SU 2.5", fitment is nice, but you're gonna want to run to HD or Lowe's and pick up some long Grade 8 bolts. The bolts they give you won't work on the downpipe side.

The SLS stainless pipe had horrible fitment on the downpipe side. The mounting hardware they sent was pretty shoddy as well.

Yeah, the midrange rpm sound is awesome, it gives it much more grunt. I'm considering doing the Magnaflow CBE after it and opening it up a bit more.

No problem. What you'll want to do is use the bolts they provide for the rear section bolting it up. Get some 3" bolts with washers and double nut each side going thru the downpipe and you shouldn't have any trouble holding it in place.

Just do 2.5" if you aren't going to put a DP on. Besides, the difference between the two is negligible.

I'm running the SU 2.5" TP and the Magnaflow CBE (and stock DP), and fitment on the SU unit is excellent. You may want to have some superglue or something like that handy to temporarily hold the exhaust gasket in place for installing the testpipe onto the CB system

Test pipes

Both the the SU, and the SLS are both comparable in quality. IT all boils down to stainless steal or aluminumed steel. It doesn't really matter I've been running the SLS test pipe with no problems at all. They both fit about the same. I've intalled both, and have no issues.

If you go with the SLS Pipe Talk to Eric, and tell him Jon with the silver Speed 6 sent ya. He'll usually knock off a few bucks.

ms3acton i suggest you dont order just yet cuz Mark at SU doesnt have any in stock. Lazy ass needs to make more. Ive been pm'ing him for a month now and nothing.. so shoot him a PM and see when hes going to make some
