Any photographers in here?

Eh..I don't know. Maybe just call it quits. It's been a fun hobby...but becoming expensive and I don't make any money from it

Ya..Make do with what you got. You seem to be doing well in that department anyways. No need for L lenses.

You could always stop buying glass and enjoy the stuff you have..

Yea, I have not bought anything new for many months. I've just come to realize what type of lens I would really love to have and would serve 90% of what I do take photos of. It's a pain to constantly swap the lens.

You could do what I do, mount a lens, go for a bike ride, walk, whatever and leave all your other lenses at home. That way you're kinda forced to use that one lens you brought.

I would never do that. I'm always too afraid that I'll see something I need another lens for. I even take my 100-400 everywhere, just in case.

I'll have the D200 for a few more months, after that is unsure, so I'm saving for a new camera.
I like the 60D because of its flippy screen (I got used to it with my Panasonic), but prefer the build quality of the D7000. Canon is more present on our market, so finding lenses is, somewhat, easier than for Nikon, also the 60D is a lot cheaper than D7000.
On the other side I can buy a used D90 with a few lenses for the price of a 60D/D7000.

For now I'm thinking and saving money.

More makeup stuffs....

I really don't like ken rockwell, or enjoy reading his babble.

I've never seen one of his shots and thought to myself "oh man, how did he do that!? I want to make a photo exactly like it!"

I took this picture of my work's pet lizard for a special program this summer. I thought it was pretty decent. It's actually a composite of two images. My boss liked the head on one picture and the body on the other and she just kind of expected that I could interchange them. It took a little bit of editing, but I think I did OK. (hi)
