Any photographers in here?

I wanted to ask you..how you did your car's interior shot. How did you get rid of the light coming in from the windshield. And where was it shot at?

In my garage, large thick white comforter as a diffuser laid over the windows, light source directly above the car, and just a little photoshop to darken the windshield. My poor boy rig, but it does the trick. Not sure how to sharpen all the instrument lighting though.

Here's another pic. Note, that's my old Sirius setup. It's now molded in a fiberglass enclosure that replaced the ashtray.

Try this for sharpening if you haven't already. I use this method for sharpening up most of my pictures unless I only want to do it selectively.

duplicate the layer (ctrl + J)
choose the Overlay blending mode
then go to Filter, Other, High Pass

And how about the one pic with all the seats and the whole interior visible? I can't seem to find it but you posted one up with the whole interior visible.

another way to sharpen is uhhmmmm I believe make a duplicate layer> filter> Unsharp mask. And for the percent put in 100% and the other boxes put in 1 and 1. Thats usually the best formula. You could do 150%, 1.5 and 1.

nice shots. Since when is there an Arai billboard down at the esses? It was chevy earlier this year. Are all the mazda ads up for the Petit yet? ;)

Those are some great panning shots. I know that isn't MotoGP but I think going to a MotoGP race would amazing to watch especially with Valentino Rossi just wompin the piss outta those turns.

Yea, I tried many PS methods to sharpen. Problem is to much glow on the lights to begin with which blurred the letters. Could be that my camera does not have the capability to differentiate the high and low end that great. I'm not sure, but that's the effect I see.

Test photo with my 2 different gauge color settings. The white EL creates a really big glow in the photo.

Here's the other photo.

Here's a pic of what I'd really love to do someday.

Unsharpen Mask (USM) is the most popular way to sharpen an image. However, I would recommend using less severe settings. I never sharpen at greater then 1 pixel radius unless I'm trying to save an image that is slightly out of focus. My everyday settings are ~140%; 0.3 Radius; 0 Threshold.

Picture from Meadowlark Gardens yesterday. The flower was in full sunlight but I used a flash umbrella as a light tent. I sync'ed at 1/500 and shot about f/8 in order to keep the ambient light down. The flash was shot into the umbrella at about 1/32 and triggered remotely by eBay radio triggers.

Maybe not the kind of guys you want to be associating yourself with.

Heh....good thing I came up with the logo 12 years ago.

Yea, I'm not that pro with my equipment. Just a point and shoot. Took some shots of my sunflowers.
