I made one EXACTLY like that out of MDF and it too went through the headrest pegs.

I officially asked for a GoPro camera for my bday in July, so we'll see what happens!!

So here is the mount test video.....I was on a bumpy road so it's a little shaky, but i have a fix for it... It recorded in HD but when it tranfered from my cam to the computer it set it as 480p which sux!

I made one similar to that. They work really well. Can't wait till the weather warms up so I can take more video's.

I was thinking about doing something like that, but now that I have my magic arm and super clamps from my rig, I can just clamp to whatever I want

Good eye! I use it mostly for flying and school. I had a Bluetooth GPS receiver coupled to it and used it as a moving-map GPS while I was en-route. That was a total of 7.3 hours of flying that day! Having my music on there didn't hurt either...
