Any photographers in here?

DId some portraits tonight. Tested out the softbox and flash. Reflector on left for fill.
Forgot to add that I also had 2 speedlites blasting the wall to make it white.

This one makes me wish I had funky's lighting setup, but the flash on the camera helped a little

Nice shots sleeper. Might be time to invest in a speedlight to throw some more light out there. You've got pretty good composition though.

yeah I am building my equipment cache slowly, but I would love to get something to light... I built a diffuser for the on camera flash out of the top of a coolwhip container, it actually works well, but I forgot it last night. here is an example of what it looks like:

Big tip for all you Nikon shooters out there. Make sure you watch Scott Kelby's DTownTV each week. Lot's of good info on there for beginners, and some advanced stuff as well. People who own other manufacturers cameras may find some useful info on there as well, but the majority of it is Nikon specific.

Not on par with everyone else's work here, but I was having fun with the macro setting on my Pana FZ8 while listening to a few LPs this morning.

That's a really cool picture. Not just for the composition, which is great, but the fact that you still listen to LPs! Whenever my favorite bands release one with the new album I try and get it. Something about it just sounds.... better...

Thanks, I don't buy much "new" vinyl but I go to yard sales and flea markets and pick up classic rock and jazz albums cheap. They do sound better, and its cheaper than paying for the stuff on iTunes for crappy mp3 quality. I can get a whole album for under $2.00 in most cases, for better condition albums I'll pay up to $10.00. I was at a record show last week where some were priced in the $100s...no thanks. Listening to some Chicago now, live at Carnegie Hall. Maybe I'll snap a few shots of my LPs later and post them.

My dad has a massive vinyl collection, including the Beatle's Master's series. I love everything to the depth of the sound to the slight pops and cracks that only a record can achieve. Makes the music come alive...

Water shot.. This was off the coast of Hawaii during a swim call. Taken with my point and shoot that I have a case for.

Quite a few years ago...

I started going through all my old photos from my tours around the world.
