Any other Firearm owners/enthusiasts here?

I have an origional 1911 thats been through WW1, WW2, Korea, and was carried by a Doctor working on the Manhattan Project. I love taking that one out to the range. Much fun. =)

Seeing the other firearm thread, I figured I'd bring this one back from the dead. Bump!

Cool! Guns! I still kind of new the the board but I have a couple of handguns I can share w/ ya.

Glock 26 -.9mm Compact (w/ pinky extenders for the clip)
Sig Sauer P232 - .380 (w/ Hogue grips)

Both guns are nice and very compact. I got these particular gun to qualify for CCW (Conceal Carry Weapons) license in NV. It was so easy to get. Just had to sit in one 11 hr class (first half was to qualify, second half was laws using the weapon). The license is good in 8 other states.

Guns are a girls best friend. I have a .380 that i keep in my console.

For work we use...
Springfield tactical .45
H&K SMP5
Remington 870
and others...

mossberg 12 ga (heat shroud, folding stock, side saddle, pistol grip, flashlight)

2 must have items for your bedside table, a MAGLITE flashlight and a 4 inch barrel .44MAG Taurus loaded with .44special hollowpoints, or a Smith and Wesson Model 4506 .45ACP with 185gr Winchester Silvertip hollowpoints.

ahhh...my favorite...glock 19...excellent gun to carry and have at the range...make sure you get the pre-ban magazines to avoid jamming...

Glock .40 is standard issue for us.. but I dont trust myself with anything that doesn't have a saftey. But we did just get nice tactical grips

What is it that you do, exactly? ;-)

Aww, you know the Glock has 3 safety systems... It's just made to work like a Double Action revolver. Two years after I became a Glock armorer, and I'm still like you, it doesn't seem like theres a safety at all. Hell, with Hinds county S.O., I had to buy my own pistol... a model 22 Glock .40 in fact... those cheap bastards... lol.

If you're shooting a Springfield tactical, you need to check out Kimber's new Tactical LE pistol... That thing is impressive.

Damn, it sounds like you guys actually have a screening process that might work!

Here in Mississippi, you go to the highway patrol station, pay $124 dollars, get fingerprinted, wait ~ 3 months, and viola!!! Your shiny new permit arrives in the mail. No classes, no test, no nothing... It's really pretty scary actually. :(

Actually we have to do all the same things after we qualify, pay the highway patrol, get finger prints and wait 90 days in the mail. But that it is easy w/o the classes and tests in your state

Yeah the whole Glock safety thing freaks me out....I still prefer my CZ40b. It's frame is similar to a 1911 and holds 10 rounds of .40

I love this thread. Im probably the youngest firearm owner on the forum (19), but thats what happens when your from east tennessee. It also helps when both your older brothers are local cops. Get those little perks like getting to shoot Glock 18c's with 35round extended mags or getting to use a 10MM MP5k..phew..That or a FNC 7.62MM...Fun stuff. I sport/trap shoot mostly. The only hunting I have done lately here is upland fowl. I actually have a couple of these for sale if your in the area, PM me if your interested. Here is what I have/had:

It ain't bad when you get used to it, just keep telling yourself it's a 10 shot revolver, and it will work out... lol

I really need to check out the CZ line still... I am going to shoot with the Firing range instructor this weekend, he has a CZ 9mm of some sort... Hopefully I'll win this time. lol. We swapped pistols last time, and shot off-hand at 15 yards. Talk about a pain in my ass. He beat me by 2 points out of 300, (off-hand) I shot a 241, and he shot a 243. Bastard... It sure is different shooting that way.

He shot my Glock 23, while I shot his Stainless Smith Compact .40 D/A only... bleh. Smith makes some good guns, but their double action pull is way too heavy to suite me. We've been getting creative lately, and supposedly, we are going to run through the standard qualification on Saturday at 25 and 50 yards, as opposed to 7, 10, and 20. I didn't tell him, but I am bringing my dad's Les Baer "Thunder Ranch" .45... what a beast. My kimber would be a good choice too, but I've already beat him severely with it. ;)

Whoa! That's quite a collection! Coolness. :)
snip... 10MM MP5k... snip... THAT sounds like fun. *shiver*

I'll be up in Knoxville, TN in a few weeks. I might have to check out that AR-10 if you still have it. ;)

I just made my first firearms purchase ever (I am a 30yo former Marine). i just purchased a Norinco 12ga(Remington 835 clone), and a used Glock 30 .45cal. I can't pick the Glock up until I go to the courthouse Monday and get a Permit To Purchase.
