Any New Yorkers' w/ header ? Emissions question.

Since my stock exhaust has rusted together , hopes of a cat-back are out the window. I was going to replace it all with a obx header/catted mid-pipe/cat-back system. In New York, will I get grief for the header at inspection time? Or, is it sniff only?

i can't vouch for NY inspections, but, you COULD get a Mazdaspeed Protege dual catted midpipe

What rusted together?

I don't think it's coming apart . That's why I figured I'd start collecting all the necessary pieces to do a full exhaust.

Just use a stick'a'butta and it'll come apart

An impact wrench worked wonders for me in a case like that.

That would have to be cut. You could bring it to your local muffler shop and have them weld one up for you.
