Wow this is the first post in over a year for Arkansas...

Is there anyone around North Arkansas that drives a Speed 3? Anyone on this site even live in Arkansas??

slim pickins

It seems as though not many Ar. people here. Sorry it took me so long to find it. I have a 03.5 titanium MSP. How you like the MS3? We have got to start makin something happen in this State!!!!(hump)

No kidding! The MS3 is great but I can't wait to start modding it! I can't here the turbo or exhaust so it's driving me crazy. So what kind of #'s are you expecting on the MSP? Looks like your really getting into it!

High Hopes

Call me crazy but I am hoping to be able to get 240-250 at the wheels. I want to see my torque somewhere in that range as well if not higher. In the future, once I get a beater to drive, I hope to be able to tear into it and go built block. It will take a while to make that step but thats why they are future plans. I will definitely be posting up dyno charts after my Dallas trip. I am getting so anxious!!!
(rofl)

Looks like you should get that with your mods, but it has a lot to do with the tune! Get tuned at Polk or another shop in LRock! We should do a dyno day down there some time in the near future!

polk update

I used to be acquainted with Don Polk and those guys. We rode crotch-rockets together. When I was home on leave i was informed that he got killed in a fouur wheeler collision. I am not even sure if his shop is still open or not. I am going to take my car to JDM Sam in dallas. You should check out his site. *************.com. I am not sure of what all he offers for the MS3 but i know that from his rep. there would be no better choice than to go to him. Dyno day sounds great though. I believe there is a shop in jonesboro or maybe its just for bikes. I dont know. Just trying to make it easier on the northern folks and maybe some from Tennesse. I got one day left in Iraq, Two days in Kuwait, and then I'm state bound. I can't wait.(godown)(drive2)(friday)

I live in Arkansas too! Yay all three of us! Neways I wanna dyno my car but I don't know where there is a dyno. I also have a 03.5 grey MSP bone stock except for an intake and a burnt up aftermarket clutch. Mods coming soon (as soon as my budget allows). I want to see what it's got stock so I can post how much good certain mods do since there seems to be some confusion on what works and what doesn't. Of course it all depends on your particular setup but it'll help give people a good idea. I'm shooting for 250 whp but it will never be fast enough so it will be an unobtainable goal. Go Arkansas!!!

Ok I am another ARKY i am from central arkansas though,,,,any info on a possible mazdaspeed club here??? by the look of it we are IT UH? Arkansas doesnt know a GREAT car if it bite them in the ----!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Polk is still open!

&this section just reminds me how bad the car scene around here is. I'm going to pick up my MS3 tomorrow.

Yeah I've driven one a few times and between the ultra-sensitive clutch and the wheel torque they can get kind of annoying.

What dealer did you go to if you don't mind me asking?

Crain, I really like the car it is just VERY different from a base RSX. I got stuck in stand still traffic on the 430 bridge in this awful weather though, that sucked.
