Just like the title says, any free mods to be had on the MP3 performance wise that work?

Drilling holes in the intake box etc....

Also where can I find out what # I am and where the hell is the stock amp at? (ugh)

if you still have the bazooka sub in there made by kenwood then it has an amp on the side of the tube...you also have a little amp built into the head unit depending on what cd player is in there.

and call mazda north america to get ur #,its 800.222.5500 and you will need ur vin when they tell you what number you are

well i dont see an amp in there. Its a kenwood sub but theres no amp attached to it that i can see. Circular right behind the drivers seat in the trunk.

Pull out the vacume tube at the top left of your valve cover (Ill give a pic if you cant find it) its the fuel pressure regulator vacume tube. If you got a N/A MP3 it should trick you engine into thinking its got 14.7 PSI instead of 14.3 PSI (14.7 being atmosperic pressure, & 14.3 being the engines) It will definatly suck down more fuel and make you run richer.

This is a Trick Ive recently learned from someone at the Drag track who say they got it from a tech, so its alot of hear say, BUT, from my own testing I feel more grunt, especially in the second gear grab, BUT I tried to city drive with her and she was alot less smooth going up the RPMs (Noticeably) And takes Alot more Gas.

So unpluging it when you want a little more kick, and putting it back when your normal driving. Keep in mind the gains are quite minimal, but aparent.

Its also something the ECU doesnt need to learn, its instant, so unplugging it at the track whe you race, then plugging it back in when you leave will work (as aposed to the ECU needing 300kilometers to learn and adapt to the change).

Im not a tech, so I dont know exactly whats at play here, But the way second gear grabbed (repeatedly while unplugged) was Sweet, and Gone when plugged back in.

Yeah defiantly show some pics of that cuz i'll be goin to the track in the next couple months with My MP3

I really would not recommend doing that. I mean yay it might add .5 HP. You would be better off taking off stock air box. You can always get better oil. That will SAVE hp. If you have access to a flow bench you can do exhaust porting. I mean there is alot of stuff you can do if you have access to the right tools. But without tools i would stick with the hard way and buy parts.

And of course if you can find someone with a heart condition you can steal their nitro glicerene pills and toss a few in the gas tank at the track.

This is an old nascar trick that can knock off a few tenths of a second on lap time for them.
