Any Forge BOV install pics?

No "Whoosh" help

Well the BOV is in and install took around 20min. Hardest part is removing the vac line from the recirc valve without breaking off the nipple. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer. Problem is that everything seems to be working except I can not hear any whoosh sounds. In fact it sounds pretty much the exact same as before. Anyone else out there with this experience. I had a turbo miata with a Bailley BOV and it was loud when it went off (also only at 6psi). RPMs drop low if going into neutral from high rpms as expected but no stalling. All my fittings are on tight. Any input with same experience would be greatly appreciated.

if i'm not mistaken, you're doomed with the turkey unless you run dual or vent from atmosphere on the hotside of the pipe.

Well when I had a hardpipe for the turbo to I/C and my forge BOV on there I had no turkey at all, just a woosh sound.. nothing more, nothing less..... My turkey was dead

With the stock plastic turbo to I/C pipe on there your not going to hear much of anything at all... i know, read my above post. If you get just one hardpipe from the turbo to I/C and have the forge BOV on there, your going to hear it allright.... and you won't have the turkey either.....

I heard woosh on stock pipes...so I am not sure what else could be your problem. I am guessing the vacuum line could have cracked and there could be a leak there. Check that out.

It's the same thing as what I said before. You're running open vent on the hotside of the pipe. Some SR20DET guys had the same problem. They just replaced their BOV to the hotside (not saying its ideal, but just saying it worked).

My experience w/ the Forge BOV has been a little different...w/ stock pipes and airbox, I would get a nice woosh (not terribly loud, but noticable). With stock pipes and the Injen CAI, the Forge still blows off, but it is a turkey-like blow off. Don't have hard pipes (yet), or the Forge anymore, but perhaps the hardpipes help "kill" the turkey...
(Stock boost in both scenarios, btw)

hey guys i just got a forge bov, and mine does not sound like your guys at all, and a friend got his the at the same time, and his sounds right. where as mine sounds like a chchchch sound no wooosh at all. a

anyone got any ideas?

I'm recently bought a MSP. I installed the forge BOV and I can barely hear it.. I checked the spring its silver with no paint. Help Please.. If this is how it is suppose to be, then it sucks. I'm all stock...only the silent forge bov

did you take it part? there 2 springs in it one has no paint the bottom one. then the top should have paint. mine is yellow.
later on today i may switch BOV with ^tyrant^ and see if the pipes and intake make a diffrent if it does not we will take it apart and see. if there is a diffrent spring. his sounds like a retarted turkey (no offance to anyone).

here are some pics of my setup,

Did you somehow make the stock intake into a SRI or did you purchase one? I can't tell cuz there's not a clear shot in the pics. Also, nice choice on air filters. (wiggle) (cabpatch)

guys,

if you want to use a forge bov and put in hardpipes, where can you get the hardpipes for the stock intercooler?

Are these hardpipes types all basically the same?

Is there a difference between turbogoses and DSM since they run with a $200 difference?

Do you guys think it is better a forge BOV or a dual set up, if I am planning to keep the car mostly at stock turbo.

Will this set up works with stock air box?

Thanks again for all your help,

Federico

I'd really like to hear someone with experience's reply to Federico's question (I am wondering the same as him)?
