Any CX-90 Owners do their own maintenance yet?

I was wondering if anyone has done an oil change or other diy regular maintenance on their CX-90 yet…If so, please do tell, thanks!

I'm going to rephrase this question. Has anyone here done any type of diy maintenance on their CX-90 yet?

Yes, oil and filter change.
Apart from the need to remove the access panel, everything is very easy. The oil filter is completely vertical, so it is easy to prefill without spilling. I would suggest buying a supply of crush washers. After completely draining, mine took about four and a half quarts of oil. The manual says 4.8.

MHEV INLINE 6. The inline six has the oil filter horizontal. Relatively easy oil change. Open hood and raise engine cover. Secure to bottom of hood with clip on strap attached to the bottom of the engine cover. Break loose oil fill cap. Remove bottom access cover. Cover cross member below oil filter. I wrapped a plastic bag around it. Break loose oil filter and let it drain. Will be messy.

You will need the oil filter wrench for that size filter. There is no room to get a strap wrench or jaw type wrench to grip the filter. Remove old filter and replace. Use OEM filter. They are not expensive. I bought mine on Amazon. Non OEM filters tend to leak since most have a flat O ring. Pull drain plug and drain crank case. You will get 6 and a half quarts out. Replace drain plug with new crush washer. Put access cover back on. Replace oil with 0W20 or 5W30. Fill to top of dip stick. Start engine and run for 1 minute then shut off. Recheck oil level and top off if needed. Replace engine cover and close the hood and you are good to go.

For info here is a video. The type of oil is dealt with at about 30:00 into the video but I suggest you watch the whole video.
