I'm eyeing up a trade for some rims, 18/7.5 with a 42mm offset... Also tried searching and I keep reading conflicting reports.

i currently have G-Racing Seki rims on the car 18/7.5 no idea on the offset. Tires are 215/35/18. Other things to note are that the car is lowered. i purchased the car with the rims and lowered, and if it helps, pics can be seen here http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/slammedblackpgt/photoshoot9-07/

So, question is, will the 42mm offset fit? if so what tire size can or should i run?

Eeehh ..

I have 18"x7.5" with a +45 offset .. 215/35/18 tires .. and I'm lowered about 2" all around. I could probably go a little lower, maybe a quarter of an inch, but I don't want to have to deal with rubbing issues.

That said, I THINK you should be alright with +42 .. but it might be close. Worse comes to worse, you can pick up some spacers.

How badly do you want this particular set of wheels?

theyre essentially free, a guy with a new set wants to trade for the set i have.

its just gonna cost me to get them shipped there.

I dont understand how this offset stuff works, this is all new to me
