Welcome my son to the Dark Side!! I see that you are non-Intercooled, but the kit looks nice! Great work! I see a intercooler in your future. ;)

so come on! details details! What did you wind up paying? Who did the install if you did not do yourself? If so, howd it go? That spoolin kit is awesome looking, I can't wait until I can afford it....The only problem will be finding a place good enough around here to install it...

I did the installing myself, it is quite simple if you ask me. Spool has some picture instructions that come with the package. The stage 2 is a little bit pricy(3K) then the stage 1, cuz it has the tubular manifold and the Tial wastegate. Just because of these two additions to the kit I come into boost going at partial to mid-throttle at 2.8Krpm and it jumps to fivePSI in a hurry. Things get real scary quick. To add to the performance you have to get an exhaust system which will run you another $450 if you get it mandrel bent. The muffler will be another $250, and if you get a second highflow cat like I did, that will be another cool $130. So that will be the total cost if you do it yourself. Not to mention the tools that you need. (You'd better have a garage with plenty of tools to do this job.) If you get it done from a shop they won't charge you less then $800, unless ofcourse you got a hookup. I might go intercooled when the weather gets warmer in a couple of months. Right now it is 40F perfect for non intercooled. I do have my intake set up as a CAI so based on smp300 findings that shoudl help out alot. I had to utilize my injen intake(paid enough for it). Once you boost you wonder how come you stayed boostless for so long. I will find some place soon to dyno when I get a chance, I am currently waiting on my spring for my wastegate. I jump real high if I go WOT, 6PSi is almost immediate, but don't bog down until I hit almost 8PSi)...cuz the spring in the wastegate is for 20PSi setup. Hopefully spoolin will be able to get me the correct spring this upcoming week. Ok I hope that answers all your questions.

the Dark side of the force....lured you it has!
Hey deep, looks nice! I will check first thing tommorow for that wastegate spring. 20 psi is not agood thing:eek:
Just try to stay out of boost as much as possible and I will get that thing out to you asap.
Also the intercooler upgrades are finished up, so the dark side is calling:p ...lol

Hey Spoolin, you didn't have the Tial Wastegate when I bought my set up:( ! I feel cheated:mad: ! Hehehe! J/K! Do you offer an exchange program?:p

Dave

Spoolin, care to answer a question for me?

I don't know that much about the actual turbo itself. if I were to purchase the stage 1 kit as shown above, then later went intercooled, would I be able to rotate the turbo so that the compressor was pointing downward? I see that it points upward with no intercooler, but is it something you can just turn?

Yes the compressor housing can spin around 360 degrees. All that has to be done is loosen a couple nuts on the back of the compressor housing and you can angle the compressor outlet where ever you desire
