Another SMIC and J-Pipe???

I was reading through my DSport magazine today (Issue 22 October 2004) and found this atricle about a SMIC for the MSP. This thing looks almost identical to the turbohoses one, i was wondering if it was one of the ones we already knew about (CS, and Turbohoses) or if this was some completely new one. Actually ... i just talked to the guy and they make some other stuff for the MSP as well. He is sending me over pics of the SMIC and the JPipe and i will post them ASAP.

It doesnt appear that they do ... i talked to the guy on the phone for about 45 mins and they seem to be knowledgable about the product. I got the impression though they are just a fabrication shop with some technical knowledge on exhausts and ICs. So no website. Im still waiting on the pics to come over via email, so i will wait and see. The SMIC is the cheapest of the bunch ... but idk about qualiity. Its real hard to beat turbohoses quality.

Im working on getting a unit here for testing so i can get you full dyno results and IC pressure drop information. I would guess that it is somewhere right in the middle of the CS and the turbohoses one ... around 1psi max.

Looks clean... It's tube and fin... don't know squat about that vs. bar and plate, but the general consensus is that bar and plate is far superior.

What I dont understand is why SOOOOo many people were interested in the SMIC for my gauging interest thread, and even before it came out. The price is lower then some of the competetors, lower then retail because its a group buy.. yet i've only sold 2 units.. Everyone and their mom says they want one.. but now I have tons of them.... and no one is buying..

it's because $550 is still a butt load of $, and Turbohoses appears (according to their dyno, which they won't release the sheet on) to make twice as much power for ~ $70 more than CS.

that said, i may still order one from you, because i really don't believe Turbohoses makes 2x the power increase, especially when Ion's FMIC is in line with what Circuit Sports is making (~ 8 WHP at stock boost -- both independently tested)

I just got an email back from them offering the units at 475.00 each if we can get a 15 person GB ... thats a hell of a good deal ... much cheaper than the others. I need to get you all some results though.
