I guess tha way the back seat bow is part of a crumple zone. I had 2 10's in a box secured in the back.

glad ur ok. About the back seat... Were the speakers bolted down, or just sitting there? Also, I've seen test crashes of similar vehicles and its been suggested to prevent anything from flying through the back seat to buckle all the seatbelts even with no one sitting there. It's supposed to add strength and prevent the seats from caving.

The box was bolted in and it didn't seem to move any. I didn't have the seatbelts locked in either, but that makes sense about holding them back. The adjuster is suppose to look at it today and let me know by tonight on the outcome of the damages.

Well my day and only car has just been shot to Hell! Time to start lookin' for an EVO8. Think my sponsors will be pissed?! I t-boned a truck this morning on my way to work, by the time I hit him after gettin' on the brakes I was doin' about 35mph. I got hauled-off to the hospital in an ambulance and have ended-up with some major whiplash. Waiting to here from the guys insurance since he's at fault.

so sorry to hear that. same thing happened to me over a week ago. guy pulled out right in front of me. car is still at the body shop waiting for insurance approval from his company. its a terrible feeling not having the p5 around. best of luck to you.

Yeah, I think I'll be alright but I don't know about my ride. Lookin' pretty slim for a recovery. I'll keep you guys posted and let you know about what I can part out. She was looking good, just got back from the N.J. Hot Import Nights show about 3 weeks ago. Can you believe if they total it my wife wants a minivan?!!!! I don't think so!

First one, I wouldn't quite call that a t-bone. Not a 35 mph one, anyhow. Reading that the airbag didn't blow didn't seem possible. But, looking at the damage, I would say that nothaving it go off was a good thing. It could end up being the difference between a total/fixer upper.

As for the wife, she's right. If you have 3 kids and don't have a minivan, you're nuts. Carting 3 kids around in the back of a protege ain't much fun. Not to mention more dangerous. I have 2 kids and a mutt and having a minivan is a necessity.

Oh, I thought of your situation this morning on my way to work. I was in the middle lane coming up to a light, no cars in front of me, a van in the right lane. 20 feet from the light, it turns green, and I accellerate. All of a sudden, I see the van lock up his brakes, so I prepare for, and sure enough, some fuckstick ran the light turning right onto the road, crossing 3 lanes of traffic. I though I was close to the guy, but when I got to work, turned out the van was driven by a coworker, who said I was inches from t-boning his stupid ass corrola. After the incident, I thought of your wreck. Seems like a weekly thing for me, almost getting wrecked by dumbass Florida drivers.

Is the front driver side wheel damaged?

If so, and you are planning on parting out with 3 good wheels, if its 18x7.5 I'm interested in one, due to damage of one of mine. Then you can sell the extra pair together.

Sorry to hear about your car, but glad to hear you are okay. How's our neck and back feeling? I just about got into one of these today, about an hour ago. Driving down 4 lane road here in Chattanooga. Blue-hair turned left into oncoming lanes (mine), and I was able to lock the brakes and stop, but the lady next to me in the right lane drilled the old lady, putting her car on top of the other. So, I was about to drop a load in my pants, and the car came down from the other, and started to roll back towards me. Had to take off, and stopped to make wure everyone was alright. Older lady was pretty shaken up, but no one was hurt, somehow. Crazy-ass drivers these days.
