just thought i'd introduce myself :D picked up my velocity red mica speed6 GT on 12.13.05 and have been lurking here for a while, but finally decided to post just now. everybody here seems cool, so i'm lookin forward to being a part of the community (drinks)

this car has been rockin over the past couple of weeks that i've had it... but i have experienced one problem. when using the driver controls, none of my windows except the driver's window will go down... but if my passengers use their window control, their window works (huh) i've played around with the on/off switch too, but still didn't fix it. any ideas?? i would've taken it to the dealership already but i've been crazy busy over the past couple of weeks with graduating from college, starting a new job, and finding a place to live. i would've read the manaul too, but guys just don't do things like that.

anyways, here are some pics...

Well thats an easy fix. The windows on the Ms6 have to be programmed to work from the central switch. It is a simple procedure you can do yourself without any tools.

The procedure: Ignition key on. Start at the Driverside Front Door, then work your way around (Order is not important)
Hold the window button down and keep holding it down for 5seconds after the window reached the bottom,
then hold the switch in the up position, let the window go all the way up and continue to hold it until you hear a beep.
Once you heard the beep the procedure is over. You must do this for all the windows at their own switch and they should all beep to confirm it has been done correctly.

There, thats pretty simple huh.

Congrats! Regarding your passenger's windows - try lowering them all the way down then raise them all the way up (from the controls at that window). Do this to all the windows then see if you can't get them to work from the driver's seat. Mine does this whenever I disconnect the battery and I'll have to raise and lower them from their respective controls before I can get them to work from the driver's controls.

Why do you disconnect your battery often?

Just twice. Once for installing a grounding kit and once (today) to install a boost gauge.

I thought I messed up the windows somehow first time I tried to lower the passenger side window after the boost gauge. I remembered Audi/VW did something similar so I tried it and was relieved when they worked after the raising/lowering of the windows.

My car never done this and I disconected/drained the battery many of times. Is this a mazda built out of the us only thing?

It is due to the new comfort module and access/remote system. You could never roll the windows up and down from outside the car either, lol.

The Ms6 has one touch down on all four windows. The system needs to know where the up and down stops are to work.

Hey, a little off topic but I'm really impressed with the velocity red. It's the first one I've seen on the forums. I just put my order for a Velocity Red GT the other day with an estimated arrival date of late April. I was wondering if you could post a few more pictures to tide me over? Thanks
