in his sig is does say stock, and he also did have a mbc on it, all in all who cares it don't matter, another blown engine due to a boost controller....i hope mazda will fix it for you but i doubt it.

Okay, I have boosted my car to about 9.5 psi. I installed the Joe's FCD and i'm still hitting the cut @ 6 K rpms. maybe, i could have it hooked up wrong, what wires did u guys hook up to from the FCD. thanks for the help.

howd you boost 9.5psi without a boost controller if your only mods were hard pipes and a bov?

i had to take a 3000 dollar loan to fix my blown motor, no reason why you shouldnt have to either. i was in exactly the same boat you were.

if he improperly installed the bov and it leaked and was running a low fuel pressure it would have leaned out and detonated underload.

U have nothing to worry about if u have a stock car. All the cases of blown engines so far had to do with modded cars.

Don't post s*** if you don't know if it's true. There were AT LEAST 2 stock MSP motors from this site that blew. ForceFed is one, TwistedJeckel is another...there were probably more. And that's only speaking of the owners that frequent this site.

Mine was stock and blew, cept it was a totally different story... Right now my car is at the dealership waiting to be examined by somebody from jiffy lube. I have no clue how my situation is, and if I want to know anything I have to call them, they have never once called me even though they always say they do. Sorry about your situation, but hopefully at least you will get a rental.

And guys, lay off eachother about whether he was stock or not. Unless you are him or mazda..., keep it to yourselves.

why argue about this people, read my earlier post where i quoted him, he HAD a boost controller, you have to pay to play when it comes to turbo cars especially when turning that boost knob! Hopefully mazda will do some warranty work, but do not expect it...

Good for you on getting it fixed under warrenty. And there where a few more than just the two who blew stock motors....these motors are WAY to easy to pop.

Oh, guys, who cares how modded his car is, was, or ever will be. I think here on this forum, we should all be on the same side, when it comes to warrenty issues with Mazda...we should all want to get stuff fixed for free...or do people not like free? I mean, all of the guys who have popped motors, learned from it, as I'm sure this guy will, and then make the car better. The fact that he got it fixed for free is awesome, cause now the cash he woulda spent on repair, goes to making a stronger engine. Soooo, I say lets all just be friends(cept in the dumoster...mwuahahahaha). And stop jumping to conclusions(right or wrong) and let the owner and Mazda worry about the warrenty...cool?
