Another Mazda5 HID install... (pics)

lol, I fired it up and thought it was bright, but no big deal... then I looked away for a moment and looked back straight at it 30 seconds later after warm up. my retina's were on fire.

some people go for 250W and 400W bulb systems... I opted for the smaller monthly ass-raping in the electric bill ;)

venturing off topic here for a moment, but had to share...

screw 35W x2 of HID @ 4500k, I just picked up 150W x2 of HID @ 10,000K (mwahahaha (upyours)) Got another 54W x4 in fluorescent and 18 LED's to boot.

it's a new toy for my reef tank (nana)

Holy Schnikes! Are you planning on recreating the UFO scenes from the movie "Close Encounters"? ;-) On the plus side, that light setup out to really catch those deer.

I know I'm reviving an old thread.. but just did this to my 5 recently. Love the improved light output. Just drove with my HID high beams on through some back roads... MAN, ARE THEY BRIGHT... (cool) Also, a note on the "dreaded spots above cutoff line" when low beams are on... those are there to illuminate road signs. You would have hard time seeing road signs if there was no light above the cutoff line since most of them are above that... :)

Hey all, I just did mine - installed the 6000k so far they look great. I just bent the clips into place ( what a pain ) but I do have one question - the rubber boot that covers the bulb around the back of the headlight, Is there something that will seal it back up as with the wires going through there does not seem to be a way to seal it? Will it be ok with the hole there?

I am looking to do an install on my 2012 5.

Anybody have any thoughts on DDM vs Morimoto?
