I'm in the market for some lug nuts, they have to be open-ended to allow extended studs. When I was looking at Muteki[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][size=-2]s, I noticed they are made of steel, has anyone had any rust issues with them? Does anyone know what alloy Kyokugens are made of? I'd rather opt for aluminum myself. Security is a feature I would like to have, but I know some of these dont have security, color of choice is Black. And no RAYs, Im not going to spend that much :).So above is a poll, have at it.

Heres some pics of them....I know I said black earlier, but these will be going with Bronze rims, so I guess all of these would look good.

Nice poll. Post pictures also. I'd be interested in seeing different lug nuts.

We've got black Muteki open ended lugs, but we've only used them once for autox, so I can't say anything about rust w/ them. We also have a set in silver open ended that we've used 2-3 times now, and again just for autox. If you want, I can take pics of the black ones for you.

i have blue Hayames. same extended as the buddyclubs, but less expensive. nice and anodized

Are they threaded all the way through?

The tool that came with my Muteki's broke. I had to order another one just to get the lugs off. I like the lugs, but the tool was a POS. The tool I got as a replacement seems stronger, so I might try putting them back on... haven't decided yet. I know of at least one other member that has had the same problem w/the tool breaking.

The Muteki's are steel? Mine are really light and I'm surprised if they are. I've only used it for a few months including one 3 hour track day. So far no problems yet.

I have no experience with the above. I put my trust in McGard and Gorilla splinedrive nuts. I chose them because of their registration cards- you buy, register your lugs, and if anything ever goes wrong (ie losing your wheel lock), you can just call them up and they have your information on file. Not to mention that Mr2 guys have NEVER had a problem with either of these companies, and I was sold.

I've heard nothing but bad bad bad about kyokugen (nuts stripping and keys snapping), and mixed reviews about muteki.

Hey how much are those Trust's, because I think that I would like to get a set of those. Can you post a link for a website where you saw them for sale? thanks

Subzscribble for an answer to this, plus if you're going to carry these as a sale item, I'd be interested. (or any other vendor that sees this)

i have the Kyokugen. i haven't had any rust problems at all and ive had them for a while. anyone know which ones are the most secure? im thinkin of buying another set so that i have 3 different style lug nuts on my rims(i have the Kyokugens and gorilla locks now). make it harder to be stolen.
