I read all of the AFC Q&A, and my answer was not in there.

I just installed my SS ACF v1 last week, and i have run through about a tank of gas. i always re-set my Trip thingy when i fill the tank up, and i always fill the tank up Full. I was expecting some gains in MPG with the AFC. what i have noticed is that its accually exactly the same, or even a little worse. Is that normal?

I hope you didn't buy this unit with fuel economy as your main goal...

Yes it does lean the fuel injection on the crucial part of the mapping in order to produce a more linear powerband, but nothing that would probably be noticeable on a non representative test like driving around town... Especially when the cars feels so much better that you unconsciously have an heavier right foot!

The only way to really compare and to see any MPG gain would be to have the exact same route, the exact same pace (acceleration, deceleration, braking, etc...) everyday for the time it takes you to empty your tank until the car run out of gaz. I'm sure it really don't worth the try...

CPQ meeting in english! lol
Same as Morpheus says, there's not that big of a difference.

no i did not buy it for the Fuel eco. but it might have been a good bonus... its not like im going to take it out lol. I love the thing, it makes the car a lot nicer to drive.

well when i installed my afc my fuel mpg went way down. not really the cars fault but it seems when ever i install somthing new my right shoe just gets heavy and wants to rest on the floor :)
