The production number being so low. I'm not sure how many of each color was produced, but with only (or less) than 2000 total production - that makes us a unique group. That certainly is what I based my final decision on; The car is simply amazing, and I know of nothing else even close in the price range - nothing!

Cheers!

600 orange total. 250 went to CA

I think it was 1250 for black all gone to use.

another 750 for Canada in 2003.5. Half yellow, half Grey - CONFIRMED by my dealer from Mazda of Canada Rep.

Has anyone figured out if we can get the production numbers of the MSP yet? I'd certainly like to know.

limited edition my ass its an upgraded mp3. my dealer swore that there would only be 1500 made. but i knew he was full of s***. im surprised that it took so long for mazda to make another protege model. the mp3 still rules........

Whoa!! Let's all be nice. Production of 2000 is definitely considered limited production, even if Mazda did produce less MP3s. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers! Sorry.

I called Mazda and they said that there aren't any production #'s.

huh? thats gay...are you sure? the mp3 had production numbers, you just called customer service and gave them your VIN. or something.

i was just saying that mazda is full of s***. when the mazdaspeed was announced the value of our cars droped like 5 grand the same thing will happen to the mazdaspeed. so being limited edition is not realy a big deal, now if the made only 1500 cars and never made another one that would be limited . they did the sam thn with the miata there are about 10 diferent limited edition models
