OK got the H&R Coils installed today at Les Schwab Tires...Ummm, WOW...Totally different than H&R springs ride, obviously...With the H&R springs you lose half of your travel in your stock strut, ugh...They even ride better than stock set up...and comfort hasn't changed...Even the wife agrees...She's even saying its better than stock, as a passenger (she said pregnant women, DON'T WORRY)...I took it on a lil drive afterwards...WOW...I dropped it 1.2 inm the front and 1" in the back...And torque steer is a lot less now as well...So nice!...For anyone that is looking for a set up for their Speed I highly recommend these...AMAZING STUFF!...I'm speechless...

Looks great! I could never dream of lowering that low, with MI's weather and potholes and other nonsense. You want to talk paintchips? This is a bad state to drive a lower-than-average car.

Looks absolutely gorgeous though!

^^^^and that's why i live in CA...huh kyle...

kyle you'll love them if you get them...i think it's a great set up for DD's for our area...i took it on our worse roads...marie had no complaints on the ride quality...

Coincidentally, I'm getting H&R coilovers installed today as well. I specified 1.25" drop in front and 1.00" drop in the rear and judging by your pics, the drop looks about perfect to me. I've been preaching H&R coilovers for a few years now as I had them on my last car and was amazed at the near ideal combination of ride comfort and handling. Even before I got my MS3, I pretty much had these in mind no matter what car I ended up buying. I'll be posting up my thoughts after I get my car back in this thread, if you don't mind.

more the merrier bro...i think people will like to read more than one opinion...
but regarding what you stated...its amazing the comfort and performance...they really nailed the head on this one...

Glad to heer you finally got them and they seem to be worth the loooooong wait!
Had similar impressions after installing my Bilstein B14 coilovers. Much improved performance, without compromising comfort.

i waited so long in limbo...i didn't know what i was really going to do with this car...sell, trade in, get something else? wasnt sure...i had to figure out the priorities...the market for buying property is awesome right now...so that's what really made me keep this...

then the coils went in and i looked at marie and said...um i am sooooo glad i kept this...hahahaha

its the BMW M3 Hyper Black finish...i have a PC shop out here that matches bmw wheels specifically...well that's their specialty...

looks almost like the stock color there....but i like the way your wheels look in the second pic in your first post. How much did it cost?

"almost" i think that's a lil stretched there...here's the comparison...
