And the build begins....(pics)

I like how u stated its a New used engine. lol.

Woah 300+ on the stock turbo. I didnt know it was capable of that. U might want to go for a bigger turbo while ur already building everything, if u can afford it. G/L with ur build bro.

I like the drop - what suspension you runnin'?
I think their tein with the rake that it has....Unless, I'm looking at the pic's wrong.....look's raked (back higher then the front) to me (gossip)

i'm 100% sure thats the pann auto fmic
I was thinking the same thing on the FMIC

I "think" that is your exhaust TampaBlackMSP in that pic above!(rofl2)

Look's like MSPChris's garage floor. good time's!

OP: Good luck with the build!

I dont think you will be able to get 300 hp on the stock turbo, GL with the build i always like seeing a protege go forged. also on a side note WELD THE LSD!!!!

im glad people are. and to everyone who is giving me ideas. STOP your running my wallet dry haha. Actually it all helps but were gonna tackle each thing one at a time. the car will probably be halfway paid off before its done.its gonna be pretty stock looking, everyone will think 200hp from looks but after all is said and done......it will be an nightmare. Again thanks to all who are keeping up with it. i love to read the comments.

Ok, well before you go upgrading the turbo, get some type of EMS. Since you are looking at big numbers, you may want to get something with some type of timing control. If not, at least get an SS AFC v2, so you can get a decent fuel map and have the ability to data log. With that being said, your gonna need a Wideband of some type. I have an AEM which works fine but I hear that there are better ones out there for a good price. You may want to look into a clutch and flywheel combo since you should weld your lsd. Exedy stage 1 is a great stock replacement but only rated for 320 ftq. You may want to look into spec for a higher rated clutch that is still a full disk.

With all that being said, good luck with your build I really hope it works out for you. Its always better to do it right the first time and get it over with vice taking short cuts and costing big money in the future.

yeah i dunno if you checked out the site or myspace of these guys. they built some of the worlds fastest.NOT KIDDING.I told them i would advertise for free he is totally against haltech he said so i dunno what his plans are. we are still verrrrrrry early in the build the block isnt even put together yet. but thank you for the advise from someone that looks to know what is up. Thank you.

Well I'll be honest and say that I have only heard great things about haltech, not that he isn't allowed to have that opinion or taking anything away from this motor building skills. Coming from the MSP tuning experts and beyond, haltech makes some great ems for our platform.

cool deal well this thread has been passsed on to him and his shop. i mentioned it to him, maybe im thinking of another.
