Amp/subwoofer power wiring question

I have a Kenwood KSC-WA801 powered subwoofer (built in amp) and am trying to figure out what the easiest way to wire it to the car's power supply.

I know you're supposed to wire amps directly to the battery, but I don't want to go through the trouble of connecting it to the battery and drilling through the firewall. On my previous car, Circuit City had wired it to the leads going to the ignition. Since the amp is only 100W max power, is it possible to wire this off the harness? My head unit is a JVC KD-SH55 (200W max power)

The link to the manual of my subwoof is below:

Thanks for the help!

You could use the constant power lead at the ignition switch mentioned in my remote starter sticky thread. You don't have to drill as there are 2 easily used grommets to get a power wire to the battery.
I highly advise to godirectly to the battery.

I wired the subwoofer directly to the head unit harness (battery lead and power control to harness, grounded to chassis in the back). It works great...no noticeable distortion. I really don't crank my system that much...just wanted the extra bass. I'll have to wait and see if I blow any fuses.

Word to mtnbiker26 for nice pics of the amp power wire routing! Just what I was looking for!

How did you attach the fuse to the battery? (Not screws I presume?)

Wood screws right into the side of the battery. Just kidding. The car has a plastic battery cover which is hard to see in the photo. I needed to remove the battery anyways to get to the grommet so it was easy to drill a couple of holes in the battery cover while I had it out and use screws and nuts to attach the fuse holder.
