Amp not turning on??

Ok, so I was noticing the lack of bass, and realized that my amp is not turning on anymore. I've been testing everything w/ a volt meter and checking fuses. Everything is good. The only problem I see is that the blue wire has less than 1v. I pulled out the headunit (stocker) and took a voltage reading from there and it's coming up less than 1v out of the HU.
Could something inside the headunit of blown? Or am I missing something?

Is the Non-Fading output on the headunit turned off by accident?

Hold either the AM or FM button down (there should be a little 'NF' imprinted near one of those buttons...can't remember which one) to see.

good memory!

That wire goes to 12V when you HU turns on (turn you key to ACC). It's like a switch for you amp to turn on.

^yes, that i understand but it's only spitting out .9v
is that normal? or is it supposed to be 12v?

I have never actually measured it, but it should switch voltage when you change the car from off to ACC or ON. If it doesn't switch, something is wrong.

You are dead on boss.
That wire should read 12 volts.

By chance are there 2 wires, a blue wire and a blue white wire at the radio or is it all factory behind there and you have never touched anything?

To test, Disonnect the wire at the head unit and then check the voltage from the head unit. There may be a short along that wire.

Just to check the amps health, take a small peice of wire and connect the contant power terminal of the amp to tghe remote on terminal. This should turn on the amp. Obviously don't have the remote wire connected at the same time as you will juice it and back feed 12 volts into the head unit.

over by woodfield mall.

yes there is a white/blue wire & and blue wire.
when i jump another wire, the amp turns on.

Well one is the power antenna wire and one is the remote turn on, hook up the wrong one and the amp will only turn on when you listen to the radio but not a CD.

simple first try to see if ur fuse is blown, i have had that problem be4, if not then mayb ur power wire(red) is to small?

you guys are confused. the blue wire is not hooked up wrong. the fuses are NOT blown.
the system is stock on my msp. the only change was a different sub

Read his posts, the amp is fine.
He can short the remote lead to the constant power lead and the amp turns on. That means the fuses are all fine as is the amplifer
