This happened on the way to my wife's parents house on Labor Day weekend. Note its about a 4hr drive and the light broke off when we barely got out of the city limits of San Antonio. 
So it went dangling for a while until I found a store that had some tape which ended up being masking tape I used for the whole trip. Well I finally went to the dealer last week and the wing came in earlier today so I should be getting the new one on Friday. And yes the brake light isnt separate, they had to order a new wing since it comes together. Oh well under warranty(thumb) From the pics it looks like it was tightened too much on the corner bolts to where it caused a stress crack in the middle and finally after alot of wind it gave out on those corner bolts and broke off. I tried to think if I ever slammed my trunk but I always treated it with care, unless the wife didnt tell me something where slammed it too hard. Just wondering if everyone's wing light is crack free??
