09 Mazdaspeed 3
Trying to sell my 09 true red ms3 with 9500 in excellent condition for 20k with a extended warranty on it. Do you think that is a fair price?

yeah, thats very reasonable. MIne had 16K miles, it is an 08, and it was listed at around $21,000. Im assuming its in good shape?

you should be fine on the asking. you might not get 20k, but you could get close. All depends on the buyer, and unfortunately the economy, being where it is, isn't going to help sell your car. Good luck though. Why are you selling by the way?

I am afraid that the longer we hold on to our cars the harder it will be to sell them for what they are actually worth. We have a car that fits a niche market, drastically reducing the number of potential buyers . Most looking for a used 4 cylinder hatch back are not going to be looking for one with 260+ hp and a six speed manual.

Lets hope not, but I have my fears.

^ Especially since they made them for so long and continue to sell them new...

Your asking price is fair, but will it sell? Probably not. Used car market and used car loan interest rates SUCK right now.

I actually believe the opposite: The longer we keep our cars, the better they will hold the value. More and more people through the generations will start to research our cars. I believe our cars will become as legendary as 1990 Honda Civics. Everyone growing up with a license at 16 will want a MAZDASPEED3. By then, who knows what advances would have been made on Direct Injection+Turbo for our cars.

That's just my .02.

^ Many of us are still waiting for that day with our MSP's.

LOL talk about a kick to the groin..

That reminded me of that scene from the movie "The Mexican" where Brad Pitt is waiting for the US Embassy to call and the guy goes "You see that man?..he's been waiting for that very same call...for 8 years" ROFL.

Nah...it's all good man, it's all gooooood! Resale value, here I come!...

Would'nt hold your breath. Ben 7 years and we can't sell the MSP for close to half the money it went for knew.

Plan on keeping this baby til she dies! Or cost more to repair then replace kinda thing...

My 2007 GT has 52k on it and it needs tires and front pads(and possibly rotors). Carmax offered me $13,000. I'll probably take the money and run.

Why are you selling by the way?

Don't want to sell but my job for the past 3 years was online poker and did really well, then had a stellar day where I won 33k in like 2 days and was like I can finally get my speed. Then being a poker player your lifestyle is very extravagant and you kinda lose the value of money. Went on a bad run then had a lot of bills. The stress of getting like 460 buck a month is getting to much. I should of payed off my 05 mazda3, turbo it and had no payments and pretty much a mazdaspeed. But I learned a lot from this which is the only good thing.

Sorry to here that man...

I would have tried to pay out of pocket for the car in your situation since its not steady income but I guess gambling is your game... :)

lol yea should of payed full for it =/ but learned that i never want car payments again and I am never buying new unless i pay in full.

FYI, I have had my '09 MS3 Sport advertised on Autotrader for $20k for around 6 weeks without a single show of interest. Mind you, mine has 24k miles on it, but also has an extended warranty.

I'm not fantastically eager to sell, though, so I'm not losing any sleep over it. If it sells, it sells. If not, I own 2 great cars.
