I have a big puff of smoke comming out of the exaust 3-5 sec. after I start my car, smells kinda rich, and is mostly white. I raplaced the stock turbo with a t28, and the plugs are dry as can be too. I also have the fuel cut that feels like your car is hitting a brick wall. Anyone have any Ideas? thanks

fuel cut is normal for our cars.. get something and tune it.. the big white poof, does it do it when its cold.. warm? both? how often when you first start it?

details man, could be just cause it's cold, could be the start of a blown head gasket.

blue = oil
white = coolant
black = rich/carbon
nothing = good

oh yeah, cold does that. It's -36 here and GOD DAMN IT'S COLD!!! The ole winter beater accord barely started haha. Everyone here is billowing white smoke like crazy you can barely see through it haha.

It started at the end of summer into fall, it only pours out for 5 to 10 sec. but if I turn my car off after a short drive then turn it back on after a few minutes it acts normal. I thought it was the turbo since the spark plugs were dry, when i pulled the T25 off there was oil in the outlet for the down pipe. I put the t28 on and it still smokes, I have the ss afc to install, hope that helps.

Is it thick white smoke? if so and it started when it was still above freezing then you could have a small tear or separation in the head gasket.
have you checked your oil lately? if you have water/coolant in your oil then its time for a new head gasket.

What he said ---^. If it is the head gasket it should be taken care off now before it causes more problems.

it might just be a condensation thing. I know my car will smoke when sitting for a while then turn it off and start it again and it wont smoke due to the moisture in the exhaust no longer being there.

or leaking valve stem seals...that would explain why it doesnt do it after its been driven and he starts it again...

the smoke is not real thick, I use about a quart of oil every 10-12 days or so, but my oil line to the turbo is slightly leaking to. You talk about a pain in the but tryin to get a wrench in there to tighten it. anyone els have that prob. ? has anyone replaced there coolant lines for turbo with SS braided lines and where can i get them for best rate.

dude i think its the beginning stages of you piston rings, blown motor!

I would argee. It sounds like oil burnoff from oil blowing by of the rings. May car does the same thing every first start of the day. And after a while, any car with a turbo is going to smoke. It's just the nature of the beast.

I took my car to Mazda today and the Mechanic said the smoke seemed to be caused by the Blow off valve Turbo xs type H rfl. He said the seals inside were prob. blown, makes since since when the bov was install it was welded on without a flange. To much heat to the bov will do it. I just ordered the HKS ssqv today wooh. cant wait

if you changed your feed line, that could be your issue too. The stock one is a -3 compared to most universal -4's. In which case you would need a oil feed restrictor. Especially if you using the Gt28. I dont think they have the restrictor built into the housing like the 25 does. So im just taking a shot at it but the smoke could be excess oil burning off. I just recently went turbo and Im experiencing very similar issues. Kinda hoping it has to do with a bad tune on my ss afc or something. Also installing the millenia pcv to prevent blow by.
