Hey all,

I am currently this close ---->><<---- to picking up a spankin' new Orange Mica Mazdaspeed Protege. My local dealer has one that has been sitting on the lot for a week and has since captured all of my attention lately. How are these cars in colder climates? It can reach close to -30 celcius here in our lovely winters, and I'm just curious how this car will like those temperatures??? Any other buying tips I should know about?

Thanks...

One thing about these cars and colder climates is the rear sway bar bushings seem to wear down quicker, and you'll get a clunk. Just do a search for clunk, you'll get roughtly 10 million hits. ;)

but, this should be fixed shorty. The struts will squeak at certain temps as well. Which should also be fixed shortly. Mazda of Canada is on it....if that means anything

Well, when I picked mine up a few weeks ago it was still damn cold in the mornings.
Didn't have any problems, even noticed that it warmed up really fast.
I've been happy with it.

I've got the Clunk - not terribly pleased about it either......also waiting patiently for a permanent fix...
