You're certainly qualified in some respects but you're also correct in assuming the chances of choosing you as a mod are quite slim...Hmmm

As long as Matty performs his duties as a Moderator, and is fair/unbiased...I don't see a problem with him being one.

i vote for matty!! he is not only good with mazdas but he has also reinvented the Can (aka bathroom)

I'm thinking the Matty thing is a lost cause. I'll be a sucker and throw my name in the suprisingly empty hat. I own 3 Mazdas right now (Pro5, 88' 323, '86 RX7), my mom has an 04 Tribute and my 2 best friends own a T28 Miata and a 1st Gen RX7 Turbo II swap so I have some other heads I can tap if I need to. I'm an enthusiast for all Mazdas first off so I can relate to all owners, in one way or the other.

I vote for xelderx. And here are my reasons:

1) He's a vice pres. for a local auto x & scca in NC and is an avid all around know it all with just about any model and make Mazda there is. The man gets up around 5am and stays at the track until almost 6pm just to set up and take down for the auto cross and doesnt get paid for it!

2) He CURRENTLY OWNS and works on at least three different Mazda's right now and has also worked on several FI Mazda's locally that he DOESNT own for other people as well. Which not only shows he is willing to help someone else out but knows his F/I and N/A engines pretty well. I can personally vouch for an MP3, a FEW P5's, MSP's, Miata's (boosted) and a few others I dont even remember. lol

3) He's also a former mechanic. I've personally seen him swap out two motors himself with very little help (along with everything else I mentioned).

4) He is fair, impartial and has always had a good head on his shoulders and will never end up in the middle of an e-squabble.

5) He's single, has time to get on here to moderate and owns a Grayhound that he adopted through a local animal rescue. Anyone that does that, shows that he's not only responsible but considerate as well, gets a vote from me.

XelderX is still the better candidate. It's like comparing George Washington to Bill Clinton. Either way, they will never let him do it. So let's go back to reality and have people do this that will not only be a good example but someone just as helpful as well. Not someone who will help you one minute, shove his product down your throat the next or tell you to bite his ass the following minute after that. Preferably someone who's not e-bi-polar or has a chip on their shoulders. And I mean that for ANY mod they pick.

And I'm not saying that to be against or seem to be taking sides with anyone. I'm saying this because I'd like to see someone get the job or ANY for that matter that not only knows what he's doing, but will also be the best choice for the community as well. Everyone's tired of the fighting, so let's stick with mods that stay out of the "lime light".
