Alignment for different sized wheel/tire combo?

If my current car is aligned properly riding on 17" rims, will I need to re-align if I decided to buy a second set of rims of different size? So if I wanted to go 15" rims and tires.... I can't just take the 17" rims off and slap on the 15" rims (for daily driving) and go without wearing out the tires unevenly? Thanks.

technically yes, you should have it aligned i think, but i guess it really depends...i changed rims and tires, and have lowered using the same springs you have and have not gotten an alignment, nor according to the steering wheel or tire wear have i had the need to...why do you not want to sport your 17"s on a daily basis out of curiosity? because tires are more expensive?

Just asking around really.... I was thinking if I bought some really nice 15" rims that I think looked better than the Racing Harts... then I could drive around with it once in a while.... although, my real motive is to buy some lighter rims (15") so I could be more competitive in the STS class. :D

No alignment required UNLESS you mess with the suspension...if all you are doing is swapping wheels/tires and leaving everything else alone....you are fine.

OoOo... too awesome. Thanks for the answers guys. Makes my decision much easier. Woohoo!! (and easier on the pocket book too! (thumb) )
