Alarm Remote Start

I am going to try to install a Prestige Alarm and remote start I have from a previous car.
What I am wondering and trying to find is how the key in the door lock sends its signal to lock/unlock and open the windows.
Would this be with multiple wires or are resistors used?

I have the SV model that does not have keyless entry, just one key lock on the driver side that can open all the doors and windows.

Thanks

The comfort feature usually just needs a longer pulse to trigger. 1 pulse from ground to unlock then one long pulse to make windows go down. Not sure if it is the same on the 09 6.

The lock and unlock wire is the same and can be found at the BCM 16 pin plug pin G Black with white stipe 1000ohms for lock thru a negetive trigger and unlock is just a negetive trigger make sure you use relays and always use a multi meter to test wires.

is there any place where there is a single wire that will trigger door lock and then another to trigger the unlock?

something similar with windows?

thanks

I am a bit confused.
Can i trigger the stock relays to lock and unlock the doors with a signal wire from my alarm?

thanks

what voltage does the 1000 ohm resistor have to be?

thanks

i got the alarm in and it locks and unlocks just fine with 2 relays and a resistor.

Anyone know where i can get the tach signal from for the remote start and also how the key tell the windows to open when you turn the key in the door and hold it? I want the windows to be triggered to go down with the option button on the alarm.

thanks
