just thought I'd bump for any progress on the units.......not being a pest, just curious how they're coming along......oh there was a post in the dyno thread asking if this would be able to control a wideband sensor, so that we could just buy the sensor, or will we have to buy the full AEM sensor kit or something similar to that. Thought I'd throw that out there.

Yes, I am curious about using this as a "controller", although I must admit I don't really understand what that means, what is there to control? Don't they just record/display the voltage coming from the sensor?

I believe wideband sensors need heating algorithims for them to be used properly, according to a friend of mine at BOSCH. (I did no other research other then asking him, but he works with them so I tend to take him for his word.) Also, the ECU will need a narrow band signal so the wideband signal will have to be converted to a narrow band. That's what the "controller" does, i.e. Innovative, AEM, etc. wideband systems.

OK, but don't many people run a wideband sensor in addition to the stock sensor? Then you don't need to control the wideband in the sense of the second point you made.

Yeah, but then you need another o2 bung added to your downpipe and more wiring. I'm trying to keep it clean and simple. 1 sensor and 1 box for me to look at (if possible).

ok I'm on the first group buy and decided not to install the device. so i'm going to sell it. If you give me $305 its all your. It breaks down like this i paid 285 for the unit, 10 for shipping to me from DSM and 10 more for me to ship to you.
I don't want to install it because I don't want to void my extend warrenty.

Also i currently do not have the unit but as soon as the unit gets to my house, it will be sent to you.

So you guys excited? You should be...oh yea I guess I should mention that the AFCs are on their way to us as we speak. It'll take about 4 days with the holidays and such to get here and then 2 or so days to program them and send them out to you guys!!! Purdy good update huh? For those of you waiting on the 2nd GB it should be right on schedule for 2wks, maybe a little sooner...
