Airbag Light

This morning I jumped in the car and made a run to the store. On the way home my airbag light mysteriously began to flash. Fearing that they might blow on me, although I know it's a long shot, I brought it home and put it in the garage. I checked safety recalls for it, and there aren't any so I'm guessing that its just a short or that I could possibly reset the computer. I know that in some of the other cars I've had we've reset the computers after working on the ABS by cranking it with the starter solenoid disconnected. Does anyone know if that will work, and if I do....where is it on this engine?? Maybe it's just early in the morning and I can't find it, or maybe engine gnomes have hidden it from me. Regardless, it's an '02 P5, no ABS. Someone help me!!

My airbag light was coming on intermittently and I took it to the dealer. They found that a sensor had gone bad. If you are still under warranty I would recommend that you take it in to make sure.

Also check underneath your seat there should be a little plug make sure its plugged in or it will trigger that light. It wont explode on you but it does mean there is a serious problem with on of the many safety features on the car.

Hmmm...I'd check the fuse but I'm not sure which one is the right one. None of them are labeled with anything like SRS, or the like. I checked both fuse blocks...the one under the dash and the one under the hood. Does the SRS have a fuse in a different spot, or is it jumped in with another fuse?

the same thing happened to me like 2 days ago, i just re-tightened the connection under the passanger seat and it fixed it, its like 3 long 7 short right??

Happened to me long ago, just took it to the dealer, had to do with the airbag sensors going bad, think there might be a TSB for it....
